PEX repipe

PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) is a flexible tubing used for hot and cold water. Simpex installs PEX when a home needs a full or partial repipe — including homes where galvanized or aging copper is failing.

What this covers

  • Budget-friendly relative to some metal systems
  • Holds temperature, which can lower heating cost
  • Resistant to buildup inside the pipe
  • Resistant to freezing and bursts
  • Flexible and long-lasting

Why PEX

PEX stands for polyethylene cross-linked — flexible plastic tubing used for more than 40 years, made from high-density polyethylene. When upgrading a home’s hot or cold water system, Simpex presents two material paths: PEX or copper.

First-party copy states Southern California re-pipe technicians are fully certified to install PEX and have replaced and installed PEX in residential and commercial structures. The work is described as done “in the shortest possible time, with maximum efficiency.”
